Okay. Bare with me everyone. This is my first entry on my new blog, “Girl October”. Some of you may know me from my other blog, “Missy’s Blog”. Missy’s Blog is the official blog for The Missy Show, my internet radio show about pets, and inspired by my Tortoise-shell cat, Missy. I host The Missy Show on Saturday evenings with my best friend, D.
Even though I love The Missy Show and intend to keep it going, I also wanted to have a blog (and eventually a radio show) to address issues that affect people. More importantly, I wanted to do something inspirational that could help myself and others strive to reach our highest potentials. I want to know how we all can be better versions of ourselves. How can we be more positive? What are some of the things that hold us back? What is the big picture, and is everyone’s big picture the same? I also want to talk about the things that I enjoy like the holidays, travelling, reading, spirituality, the mysteries in life–the list goes on and on.
Of course all this is just in the beginning phases. I haven’t exactly formulated a format for the potential radio show that would accompany this blog. I’m doing things in the opposite format of how The Missy Show was done. With The Missy Show, I did the show first, and later added a blog, Twitter, Facebook, and other social media pages. With Girl October, the show may come last. I would really love to have D host the show with me. We’ve been in talks about doing an additional radio show for awhile–so I’m excited and hopeful that we can get this off the ground.
And in case you were wondering, I call this blog and the future show, Girl October because October is my favorite time of year. It’s the precursor for the holidays and cooler weather, and it also represents the introduction to a more relaxed, laid back time of year. It’s also my favorite month to travel in (when I get a chance). So though I’m not born in October, I consider myself an October girl!
So stay tuned. There are more blog entries to come. And I will keep you all updated on when we get another Blogtalk radio show and other pages up and running. Girl October already has a Google Plus page. I’m thinking it will have its own separate social media pages from The Missy Show; that way, any of our fans who just want to stick to animal topics will still have their separate pages to comment and post on. And of course The Missy Show will continue to keep providing everyone with fun and informative pet topics. But if you’re interested in both pets and self improvement, check out all our sources. We’d love for you to mix and match.
At any rate, thanks for reading my long intro blog. I hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday evening!
