đ¸ A New Way to Think About Your Default State
Itâs interesting, isnât itâhow easily we forget that even our emotional and energetic patterns have default settings.
For most of us, those defaults were set years ago. They were shaped by repetition, reaction, and survival. We became so accustomed to feeling a certain wayâanxious, guarded, self-doubtingâthat it began to feel like âjust who we are.â
But hereâs the truth:
Your default setting is not your destiny.
Itâs simply your last saved preference.
And preferences can be changed.
đł The Payment Analogy
I realized this the other day while paying a bill.
I didnât want to use my usual payment method, so I added a new one. Then I noticed a little option underneath that said: âSet as default.â
That moment stopped me.
Because isnât that what identity shifting really is?
Learning to manually choose a new emotional payment methodâuntil it becomes automatic?
At first, you have to be intentional. You might catch yourself about to âpayâ for an experience with stress, worry, or insecurity, and thatâs when you pause and say:
âNo. Iâm choosing differently this time.â
You select calm instead of chaos.
Confidence instead of doubt.
Grace instead of overreaction.
And the more often you use this new method, the easier it becomes. Eventually, your subconscious updates its settingsâand that new state becomes your default.
⨠The Shift
Thatâs when you stop trying to act confident and simply are confident.
You stop chasing ease and start existing in it.
You stop trying to become herâbecause you already are her.
Your energy pays for everything now.
And the woman I am today?
She only pays in peace, self-respect, and divine knowing.
Because I finally realized:
Even my default settings are editable.
And thatâs where true freedom begins.
đď¸ Journal Prompt
