What is Manifesting?
My definition of manifesting is to bring forth a desired state of being or circumstance into your physical reality (although you can also do the reverse of this and unconsciously bring forth a reality you don’t want). For example, you may want $100,000 in your checking account or you may want to be healthy or to be a photographer for Vogue Magazine.
Manifesting involves making something real in your physical experience that isn’t currently there, (or at least it isn’t “here” for this version of you–but more on that later).
So, How Do You Manifest?
Well, that’s a tricky question. The best answer is–it varies. There are different schools of thought on how to manifest, with one of the most common being The Law of Attraction. A simplified definition of The Law of Attraction is, it’s a means of manifesting that involves vibrating at the same frequency as the thing or state of being you desire having. This can be done by holding a mental picture of your desired outcome and maintaining the feeling that you already have it. Some people consider the Law of Attraction a philosophy or one of the spiritual laws.
I first found out about The Law of Attraction from Bob Proctor after listening at a series of his called, “The Power to Have it All” on a set of cassette tapes that were casually left in my apartment, (my husband got the tapes from someone else and figured they would be something I’d be into); and then a year or so later, from the book, “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne. I really loved the concept of being aligned with the things you desire in thought, word, and deed, and having faith that you can actually have those things. But about a decade later, I discovered a philosophy that resonated with me even more! I still like the Law of Attraction and actually find that my new favorite manifestation philosophy still shares things in common with it, (although there is another manifestation principle called, The Law of Assumption that sounds even more in line with my new favorite). More on the Law of Assumption later.
Choosing Your Reality (Reality Transurfing)
Like most people I used to subscribe to the idea that we create our reality, (and I guess technically we are creating it–but I no longer believe we’re creating it out of thin air). What first helped that idea to click with me was Reality Transurfing. Reality Transurfing is a book written by by Vadim Zeland, which proposes that there is a space of variations where all possible versions of you exist; and we just need to highlight the specific sector of the space of variations that has the version of us we desire to begin to bring that version of us into our current reality. In other words, we don’t have to create a version of us that is healthy or affluent out of thin air–that version of us already exists in the space of variations. Just like there is a version of us that is in worse health than we are now or has less money.
So, with Reality Transurfing, the pressure is taken off of us to feel like we have to bring something into being that doesn’t already exist. All we have to do instead, is choose the version of us or the circumstance we want that already exists. Choose the preferred version of reality you wish to have (it already exists in the space of variations), keep your focus there, and don’t worry about the “how.” Of course, this is a very simplified version of how it works–but this gives a watered-down gist of how it works.
Before I proceed, let me just reiterate that Reality Transurfing is what made the idea of choosing my reality, rather than creating it, click a bit more for me. I already sort of subscribed to this anyway, through my studies of various aspects of quantum physics. I already believed that the potential for what any of us wants already exists anyway. Even if I didn’t straight up believe in the Many Worlds Hypothesis, (that there are countless other versions of us that exist in other universes, living slightly or drastically different lives, at the same time we do), I did believe that there was the more ideal version of us that existed as pure potential, and that potential in the quantum field, and all we had to do was tap in to make that potential or possibility a reality. The Space of Variations that’s discussed in Reality Transurfing is likely a different way of describing possibilities or potentials in the quantum field, but it was something about it being put as choosing your reality, that made a light go off more for me than it ever had before. Side note: It was one of Aaron Doughty’s videos on YouTube from a few years ago that first introduced me to Reality Transurfing and where I first heard about choosing your reality, rather than creating it.
Manifesting Methods--Ways to help us in choosing our reality.
The 55×5 Method
This method is the lengthiest of the writing methods and involves writing out the intention you want to bring forth, 55 times, for five days in a row. You would write the intention as though you already have it. For example, “I’m so thankful I’m making $10,000 a month working from home”! Once you’ve completed writing all five days, release the outcome to God/the Universe, and carry on with your life, trusting that your desire is already done in the metaphysical/quantum realm and will begin to show up on the physical.
It’s preferable to have enough time set aside to write your intentions in one sitting.
The 33×3 Method
This method works just the same as the 55×5 Method, but instead of writing your intention 55 times for five days, you write out your desired outcome or state 33 times for three days. Neither of these methods are inherently better than the other; it’s just a matter of which method you prefer.
The 3-6-9 Method
The 3-6-9 Manifestation Method is another method that involves writing out your intention and is likely to be a favorite of among those who don’t have as much time to write out their intention in one sitting.
With this method, the intention is written out three times in the morning, six times in the afternoon, and nine times at night or before bedtime. This method is modeled after Nikola Tesla’s belief in the mystical significance of the numbers three, six, and nine.
Grabovoi Numbers
The use of Grabovoi numbers originates from a theory by controversial Russian psychic, Grigori Grabovoi, (who made some pretty wild claims), that certain combinations of numbers have a radionic signature that can help to bring about desired outcomes or help to heal unwanted ones. Grabovoi numbers are considered “universal cheat codes.” These numbers were developed by Grabovoi with his Radionic machine. Grabovoi believed that every condition or state of being gives off its own unique radionic frequency that corresponds to certain numerical values. So, if a person finds themselves in ill health, there are certain Grabovoi numbers that can be recited or written to bring them back to a state of healthiness. There are numerous YouTube videos and websites dedicated to the subject of Grabovoi cheat codes. Some sources claim that they have to be “activated” before using them. An example of activating them, would be to say, I, Jane Doe, now activate the code for passive income, 3457813, on today, May 11, 2022, and have full faith that this code and my creator will help me achieve my desire of passive income. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.” Other sources don’t mention a particular activation method and simply suggest writing your chosen code repeatedly, saying it out loud repeatedly, or both. Some sources suggest repeating or writing at least 28 times or as many as 108 times as if saying a mantra. And in case you were wondering, 3457813 really is the code for bringing in passive income.
Switchwords
Switchwords or switchword phrases are certain words spoken or written repeatedly to achieve a certain desired state or outcome (think the word version of Grabovoi numbers). Switchwords work by bypassing the conscious mind and going straight to the subconscious in activating desired results. Switchwords on the surface make no sense. For example, a switchword phrase for getting money in a miraculous way is Find-Count-Divine. Find = to build a fortune. Count = make money. Divine = work miracles, extraordinary accomplishment, or increased personal ability. Unlike affirmations, with switchwords you don’t have to believe what is being said, because the words on their own don’t hold meaning to the conscious mind. The words “find” “count” and “divine” sound like nonsense on the surface, but each of the words put together has a meaning related to obtaining money in a miraculous way, that can be decoded by the subconscious mind. More information on Switchwords and switch-phrases can be found in Liz Dean’s book, “Switchwords: How to Use One Word to Get What You Want.”
The Law of Assumption
The Law of Assumption is the manifestation principle espoused by Neville Goddard. This principle basically states that whatever it is you desire, you should assume it’s already done. Embody the feelings of your wish fulfilled. In addition to feeling as though your desire has already happened, you need to hold the mental picture of your desire already being so, in your imagination. According to Goddard, holding the image in your imagination and maintaining the feelings of it being fulfilled is primary and the actual manifesting of it into physical reality is secondary–it’s the natural next step and result of persisting in your feelings and imagining of your desire being true.
“Dare to believe in the reality of your assumption and watch the world play its part relative to its fulfillment”.
-Neville Goddard
