Happy Veteran’s Day, G.O. readers!
I now find myself sitting here on my sofa under an electric blanket with my laptop on my lap as I drift in and out of sleep. It’s been a gorgeous day all day and now, here inside the house, with all the blinds closed, the evening has a lazy, relaxed look and feel to it.
Most of the day, my husband and I, were out looking for new holiday decorations and visiting various grocery stores to see if they had the specialty cheeses that I’ll need for the new macaroni recipe I plan to try for Thanksgiving. It has been a great off day. But I wanted to take time out to thank all the service men and women out there who have made my great off day possible. Thank you to all those who have served and are currently serving in the military. You’ve made great sacrifices so that we all can enjoy the freedoms we currently have.
I salute you all, and send prayers for those of you who are not able to be home with your families and will miss out on spending the holidays with them. May God bless you all and keep you safe. Happy Veteran’s Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
