Blood Moons, Doomsday, Apocalypse Musings

Greeting G.O. readers!

I’m actually typing this to you on Tuesday night.  If the world hasn’t come to an end by tomorrow morning, I will be bidding you all a good Wednesday A.M.  Make no mistake, I’m not saying this in a joking way to mock those who have thoughtfully and carefully calculated their reasons as to why the world may be ending on September 23rd or some time by the end of this month.  I’m not saying that I agree with them either.  All I know is that the thought of the apocalypse is enough to make my mind shut down when I try to think of what I would do if it actually happened.   Right now such talk is all over the Internet, much like all the 2012 stuff was, (concerning the Mayan calendar); and one has to be careful not to get caught up in all the hype.

I was brought up to simply abide by the words of Jesus when He said, “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”  My grandmother always said to “just be ready, and you won’t have anything to worry about.”  So I sit here typing this with no true intention to give an opinion on all the fuss, one way or the other.  Some of you may not have even heard about it anyway.  If you haven’t, keep trucking; but if you have like me, and you were brought up religiously, then it might cause some concern; but we just have to keep going as we always have, and continue to pray for more time to grow into our best selves.

I look forward to continuing on this journey with you all.  I made a Pumpkin Spice cake this past Saturday and got some cool seasonal pics from my Target trip.  I’ll share all that info with you guys soon!  Until then, let’s follow my grandmother’s advice, and not worry about when the end will come–but instead live our lives to the fullest while we’re here, and “just be ready”.

Take care, and God bless!
