This or That: Thanksgiving Edition

Happy Wednesday, G.O. Readers!

Thanks for checking out another edition of The Girl October blog.  Sorry that this is my first post for November.  As I stated on my Missy Show Blog, I’ve been going through a period of writer’s block.  I just hadn’t been able to come up with anything that seemed worthwhile to say; but because I didn’t want to go the whole month without touching base with you guys, I decided to do the Thanksgiving “This or That” I promised a while back.  So, without further delay, here’s a special Turkey and Dressing edition of This or That.  Leave your answers in the comments!

  1. Favorite Meat Dish?  Ham or Turkey?
  2. Cranberry Sauce or No?
  3. Fried Turkey or Baked?
  4. Thanksgiving with family or home alone?
  5. Do you host Thanksgiving or show up at family or friends’ homes?
  6. Will you be travelling out of town or staying home?
  7. Big Thanksgiving dinner or small and intimate?
  8. Favorite side dish?
  9. Favorite pie?  Sweet potato, Pumpkin, or Apple?
  10. Black Friday Shopping or No?
  11. If Black Friday Shopping, in person or online?
  12. Favorite Thanksgiving family traditions?
  13. When do you cook?  The day before or on Thanksgiving Day?

My answers:

  1. Ham by a landslide!
  2. I can take cranberry sauce or leave it, (I love cranberry juice though).
  3. I’ve only had baked–which is too dry.  I will eat Turkey roasts though.
  4. Thanksgiving with family.
  5. I show up at my mom’s and mother-in-law’s houses, (but I do contribute to my mom’s dishes)!
  6. Staying home.
  7. Small and intimate.
  8. Favorite side dish is Mac and cheese, of course.
  9. I’ve never had pumpkin pie. I don’t care for apple pie; and sweet potato pie is only “okay”
  10. Yes, I will be doing some Black Friday shopping.
  11. Mostly online.
  12. Drinking Red Bull while cooking the mac on Turkey Day–and scoping out the sales papers.
  13. I cook most the day before, and some the day of Thanksgiving.

Here’s to wishing you all a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving!

Until next time!
