How can I make a cozy holiday for me this year?
This is today’s question at hand that I’m here to help you answer.
Sometimes it helps to give your future self a picture.
Not a rigid plan.
Not a perfect checklist.
Not a pressure-filled vision board that turns into one more thing to measure yourself against.
Just a soft little vision.
A feeling.
A glimpse.
A cozy inner picture of what youâd love the next season of your life to feel like.
Thatâs what today is about.
Creating a cozy season vision for your future self.
What Does Cozy Mean to You?
Cozy doesnât have to mean the same thing for everyone.
For one person, cozy may look like candles, blankets, soup, books, and quiet nights at home.
For someone else, it may look like family dinners, fall festivals, holiday lights, music, laughter, and a full calendar of things that actually feel good.
Cozy might mean peaceful, romantic, or nostalgic.
It might mean simple, with soft structure.
The point isnât to copy someone elseâs version of cozy.
The point is to notice what feels like home to you.
A Few Cozy Season Ideas
Here’s a few things your cozy season vision might include:
-
Slow mornings with coffee or tea
-
Fall or holiday playlists
-
A candle you light in the evenings
-
A simple dinner that feels comforting
-
A clean little corner that makes you happy (one of my faves)
-
A favorite blanket or pair of pajamas
-
A holiday movie night (love those)
-
Less rushing and more quiet
-
Time to actually enjoy what you create
Your vision doesnât have to be fancy.
It just has to feel like something your future self would be grateful to receive.
Let It Be Simple
A cozy season isnât built by doing everything.
Sometimes itâs built by choosing fewer things with more intention.
Fewer obligations.
Fewer rushed decisions.
Fewer âshoulds.â
Fewer things done just because theyâve always been done.
More presence, peace, and small joys.
More room to breathe.
More space for the woman youâre becoming.
Thatâs the kind of vision worth creating.
Todayâs Prompt
Complete this sentence:
My cozy season vision includesâŚ
Then list five to ten things that feel good, peaceful, beautiful, or meaningful to you.
They can be tiny. Practical. Emotional.
Whatever appeals to you.
After that, ask yourself:
Whatâs one small thing I can do now to help that vision feel possible later?
Maybe itâs making the playlist.
Maybe itâs clearing a corner.
Maybe itâs simply admitting that you want this year to feel softer.
Whatever it is, let it be enough.
Because your future self doesnât need a perfect season.
She just needs one that feels a little more like peace, a little more like magic, and a little more like her.
You deserve a softer season…
My lovely October Souls.
